Cross-Country Skiing Routes near Přebuz

The surroundings of the small town of Přebuz are distinguished by pristine nature and they are a true paradise for those for whom cross-country skiing is not only a pleasant physical activity, but also an opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of deep woods and open mountain plains far away from the crowds on the more well-known ridge ski trails.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of several local four-wheeler owners, ski trails have been regularly groomed over the past few winter seasons in the direction of Kraslický Špičák and further on to Nová Ves near Stříbrná and down to the Rolava valley to the popular routes in the vicinity of the former settlement of Chaloupky. The Ore Mountains Main Cross-Country Skiing Route leads from Přebuz via the former settlement of Rolava where cross-country skiers can select from a number of ski trails leading in the direction of Ostružník and Bublava, Jelení and Chaloupky, or to the Carlsfeld water reservoir, which is situated at the highest elevation in the Ore Mountains.

To its visitors Přebuz offers parking, refreshment, and accommodation possibilities in the vicinity of the Town Hall. The ski trails starting immediately behind the local pub will take you to the Rolava valley and to Chaloupky or directly to the Ore Mountains Main Cross-Country Skiing Route.

Up-to-date information on the condition of the cross-country skiing routes is available at the Karlovy Vary Region map portal.
