Cross-Country Skiing Routes near Bublava

Apart from being a major downhill skiing centre in the area of Kraslice and the entire region of Sokolov, Bublava is also the westernmost village connected to the Ore Mountains Main Cross-Country Skiing Route, and its immediate surroundings offer a number of additional ski trails for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Moreover, the ski trail offer is extended by connections to the cross-country skiing routes in neighbouring Germany, namely to the well-known Kammloipe ridge ski trail.

The so-called "Bublava Circular Trail" starts close to the centre of the village, not far from the Municipal Authority, and its approximately 4km long route leads through low-difficulty terrain across pastures to the west of the village. At the border, the ski trail connects to the German Sonnenloipe. A circular trail leading around Tisovec Hill and to the south of the Bleiberg Observation Tower at Olověný Hill is especially designated for skaters. The access point to the Ore Mountains Main Cross-Country Skiing Route may be found at U vysílače (At the Transmitter Tower) to the northeast of the centre of Bublava. The Ore Mountains Main Cross-Country Skiing Route offers a unique possibility to travel on cross-country skis to the villages of the central part of the Ore Mountains (Pernink, Boží Dar), or to connect to the German Kammloipe and enjoy a pleasant ski trip while exploring the Erzgebirge in neighbouring Germany.

To its visitors Bublava offers all necessary facilities and services, including parking, refreshment, or accommodation, as well as an array of other sports activities.
