Category: Jewish Sites and Cemeteries Region: Karlovy Vary and its surroundings Town: Hroznětín

The Jewish cemetery in Hroznětín is one of the oldest in Bohemia. It belonged to the local Jewish ghetto founded in 1499. Later, Hroznětín had one of the largest Jewish communities in the region. The cemetery has been reconstructed after being damaged by the Nazis during World War II. You may find almost 300 tombstones, the oldest dating to 1684 and 1690.

The cemetery is not open to public on Mondays and during Jewish holidays. On other days, you can pick up the key at the Secretariat of the Municipality of Hroznětín (+420 353618201).
