Klínovec Ski Resort

Category: Downhill Skiing Region: Krušné hory – Ore Mountains Town: Boží Dar

Ski Resort Klínovec is the largest interconnected ski resort in the Czech Republic. It is located a mere 140 km from Prague, 110 km from Pilsen, and 30 km from Karlovy Vary.

The ski resort offers 31.5 km of ski pistes on Klínovec, Neklid, and in Boží Dar, all on one ski pass. 21.2 km of these pistes are covered in artificially made snow. The total area of routes has grown to 737 thousand m2. The entire ski complex contains five chairlift lines, of which two are covered with an orange bubble canopy. From the top of Klínovec, a connecting ski piste leads down to the lower ski lift station at Neklid, and from Neklid, it continues on to the lower Prima Express ski lift station.

Those who purchase a ski pass for at least one and a half day can enjoy up to 47 km of pistes thanks to the partnership with Fichtelberg in Germany. A shuttle ski-bus will transport skiers for free throughout the Klínovec–Fichtelberg InterSkiregion (approx. 10 min.). The InterSkiregion is serviced by seven ski lifts, three of which have a bubble canopy, and one is a cable car.

In Ski Resort Klínovec, you will find the complete amenities of a first-rate ski resort. Pistes covered in artificial snow that are groomed daily are a matter of course. The ski lifts are roofed with orange canopies, the colour typical for Ski Resort Klínovec, providing above-standard comfort. The longest chairlift serves the piste leading down to Jáchymov, which with its length of 2,950 metres and a width of 50-100 metres, ranks among the longest and widest pistes in the Czech Republic.

The modernised COOL FUN park, with a whole range of obstacles and jumps with entertaining elements and a chill zone, is prepared for aficionados of freestyle skiing. The legendary Neklid snow park offers a wide range of activities, from jumps to obstacles. Under the proper conditions, freeriding lovers have the opportunity of riding 2 km of un-groomed pistes with natural snow. Ski equipment rentals and certified instructors in ski schools are at your disposal.

While skiing and after skiing, you can choose from several restaurants, fast food restaurants, ski bars, and après-ski kiosks, which prepare fresh meals and all type of beverages every day. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the 50 km of groomed cross-country courses, including the popular ski highways leading to Horní Halže (Oberhals).
