Observation Tower on Tisovský Hill

Category: Lookout and Observation Towers Region: Krušné hory – Ore Mountains Town: Nejdek

Tisovský vrch (Tisovský Hill, also known as Pajndl) rises to 977 metres over the town of Nejdek. At the top, you may find a stone observation tower with a square ground plan built between 1895 and 1897. Unfortunately, the structure deteriorated very rapidly during World War II. First attempts for its salvation appeared in the 1980s and they ultimately resulted in the grand re-opening of the observation tower in 1997.

Info The observation tower was declared a cultural monument in 1995.

The height of the tower from the base up to the lookout gallery is 18 metres. The lookout platform is accessible by climbing 114 stairs.

Opening hours

The tower is freely accessible.
