Ore Mountains Express Trail

Ore Mountains Express Trail for jogging and cycling lies between woods and meadows across the entire Ore Mountains. It guides you through the mountains from the west end of the Czech Republic, Cheb, to the northen parts of Bohemian Sněžník up near Decin, where it joins the Elbe trail. The entire length runs along the roads, making it suitable not only for walking, but especially for cycling. In the winter it is reserved for cross-country skiing.
The trail begins at the water reservoir Skalka near Cheb and goes through the famous Frantiskovy  Lazne and Kraslice and gradually brings you to highest peak of the Ore Mountains, Klínovec (1244 m).

The total length of the trail is 242 km and across its length it connects to a series of paths and smaller trails for walkers, cyclists and lovers of cross-country skiing. In addition to the scenic nature the trail will offer many natural and technical attractions, such as. Wolf Hollows (Vlčí jámy) or Blatensky Trench or less explored mountain villages and towns with museums and local sights. You can also stop and have a snack in local pubs, restaurants and guest houses with various specialties.
