Footbridge Lookout Tower in Cheb

The new footbridge over the Ohře River in Cheb was constructed in 2006. The steel footbridge is 45.5 metres long and a 10.5-metre high lookout tower with a square 5.3x5.3 metre floor plan was erected at its beginning.

Fifty-one stairs lead to the gallery, from which you may indulge in a breathtaking view of the Ohře River, the rear section of Cheb Castle and its surroundings.

If you follow the red-marked tourist path from Cheb Castle, you will reach the footbridge with the lookout tower after about 300 metres.


Opening hours

The Footbridge is freely accessible. The tower is freely accessible daily (April - October) from 06´00 a.m to 10´00 p.m.
