Footbridge Lookout Tower in Cheb

Category: Lookout and Observation Towers Region: Cheb, Františkovy Lázně and their surroundings Town: Cheb

The new footbridge over the Ohře River in Cheb was constructed in 2006. The steel footbridge is 45.5 metres long and a 10.5-metre high lookout tower with a square 5.3x5.3 metre floor plan was erected at its beginning.

Fifty-one stairs lead to the gallery, from which you may indulge in a breathtaking view of the Ohře River, the rear section of Cheb Castle and its surroundings.

If you follow the red-marked tourist path from Cheb Castle, you will reach the footbridge with the lookout tower after about 300 metres.
