Lookout Tower on Olověný Hill

Category: Lookout and Observation Towers Region: Krušné hory – Ore Mountains Town: Bublava

The tourist lodge with a lookout tower is located on Olověný vrch (Lead Hill) near the village of Bublava in Krušné hory (Ore Mountains) at an elevation of 802 metres. The 16-metre high wooden lookout tower has been standing here since 1933. It had served as a children's home in World War II and later as a military radio post until 1961 when it was converted into a restaurant.

The restaurant is still in operation today. You may visit the lookout tower during the opening hours of the restaurant.

Even though Olověný vrch is mainly a winter sports resort, it appeals to visitors also in the summer by offering pleasant walks in its surroundings augmented by the magnificent view of this part of Krušné hory (Ore Mountains).
