The official opening of the spa season in Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) is held annually in May. The traditional all-day celebrations include the blessing of the springs, a concert of a wind orchestra, majorette and swordsmen performances, and music band concerts. A parade through the town is also a part of the festivities.
