Town Slaughter House in Kraslice

Category: Technical Monuments Region: Krušné hory – Ore Mountains Town: Kraslice

The town slaughter house in Kraslice was built in 1904. The architecturally particularly valuable building of the former town slaughter house situated in the southern outskirts of the town was built between the years 1903 and 1904 according to the design of Anton Möller, the town architect in Varnsdorf. It had served its purpose up to 1990.

When the slaughter house was acquired by a private owner in 2002, it was severely dilapidated. It is currently undergoing extensive reconstruction. In the future, it should house an exposition of period materials mapping such extinct industries as brewing or livestock processing.
