Loket
Region: Sokolov and its surroundings
The town of Loket (Elbow) and the castle of the same name were founded in the 13th century. Loket Castle formed a single, impenetrable defence system with the adjoining town and it was often visited by the members of the Luxembourg family. And just as the castle attracted the nobility in the Middle Ages, it attracts tourists in our time. It may boast the highest visitor rate in the Region of Karlovy Vary. In addition to the castle, you may visit other historical sights, such as the Town Hall or the Church of St. Wenceslaus.
