Luby

 

Region: Sokolov and its surroundings

 

The town of Luby is situated approximately 20 kilometres north of Cheb. It was founded in the 12th century. The town became famous for the making of musical instruments, namely violins. Violins have been produced in the town since the 17th century and the tradition continues to this day.

You may visit the 18-hole Golf Club Luby course or the wooden lookout tower known as "U Strejců" (The Uncles' Tower)
